Rally Trac
Trac Ltd has won the contract
to supply all the temporary roadways and Portapath to the Queen’s
Golden Jubilee concerts at Buckingham Palace. The contract includes for
the supply of over 600 Access 1 aluminium roadway panels and 10,000
square metres of Portapath. On winning the contract Nick Russell (Trac
Ltd Operations Director) said: "Trac Ltd are delighted, I cannot
think of any more prestigious venues or more high profile events taking
place this year, this is the crowning achievement in what has already
been a most challenging, exciting and successful year so far."
This success is just one in a
long line of achievements: Trac Ltd has recently won its High Court
Injunction against Trax for the passing off of its name and livery. To
top this Trac Ltd have been nominated for an award at the Mowlem
Construction Quality Awards having successfully completed over £500,000
worth of work in the twelve months to April 2002 on their behalf.
Trac were also mentioned in the
list of contractors employed for the Queen Mother’s funeral, first on
site after rallying their installation teams Trac Ltd had five lorries
on the road by 18:00 hrs on the 29th March with the media
areas complete by 05:00 am the following morning "even the Police
were coming to us for instructions".
David McLeod, Trac Ltd’s
Commercial Manager states "Trac Ltd continues to strengthen its
grasp on the temporary roadway market but it is doing it by keeping a
fresh and original approach. A culture of ‘how it is’ with temporary
roadways suppliers has been running rife for years, what the industry
leaders should be saying is ‘how can it be?’. By searching and
striving for more efficient methods, better communication and listening
to the customer it is believed that the industry as a whole can
benefit".
Whatever the beliefs are there is no doubt that
introduction of competition over the last four years in the temporary
roadway market has actually improved the service to the customer and end
user.
